Ok. We had a blast today! Hubby stayed home and took “care of business” and I had a ton of fun with a little one.

His name is Aidan and is the youngest of a very special friend of mine. She had to work today so we went up to visit my nephew. They are really close in age and Aidan actually requested to go and visit, like I’m gonna say no… yea right.

Today wasn’t hot, but it wasn’t cool either. So when we got up there we went down to the river and played in the water. Then when we had enough of throwing rocks in the water, catching periwinkles, making mud pies, collecting sticks & feathers we went back to the house. They played around outside for a bit finding bugs and teasing the dog. Then, before it got too cool we set up the slip ‘n slide. Although it wasn’t a regular one it is one of those massive blow up ones with the shower at the top of the inflatable slide. I got video of each of their 1st goes….

chores?

Well I’m keeping myself busy. Mainly cleaning house and taking care of things that I got half started when I was working. Doing laundry now…. whoopdefucking do. On the bright side I only have a few more loads to get done.

2 years ago…. I got the idea that I need to re-do my patio set. So I re-painted the table and chairs got a new umbrella and decided that we needed new cushions. So I got new sponge filler and fabric and got about 3/4 way done. Lazy girl. I finally finished sewing the covers…. cuz we now have an all new set made of teak and decided that we need to give the old one to Jeff n’ Lisa. And you can’t give something that is half assed finished. Don’t cha know.

Today I’m going to the movies with Laura. Going to see “the break up”. I don’t know if I really want to see it, but I do want to spend time with her. I want to see “lake house” with Keanu and Sandra bullock. Another day I suppose.

Well I need to get dressed. cuz in not leaving the house you don’t need to have real clothes on. For the past few days I’ve been living in my sarongs. I love ‘em.

oddness

Ya know, Thursday night I had the most terrible time going to sleep. I kept thinking about “work” and and to keep reminding myself that I didn’t have a work. I don’t know how many times I had to do that. Then when I finally went to sleep I got up at 5:30 am.

Friday and Saturday hubby and I watched our niece and nephew. We went and seen Cars. If you get a chance, even if you don’t have kids, you should go. Its really well done. Major attention to detail. Entertaining and lots of guest appearances, they even do a mini movie montage at the end. Its really cute.

Today we went up in the hills to beat the heat. Had a picnic, played Frisbee and messed around in the water. It was a good day today. But now I smell like a fire and dirt. I need to take another shower. Damn.

Its supposed to be 101 degrees tomorrow and Tuesday. Yecch. Tomorrow I might go up and visit the folks in the afternoon/evening. Dad is coming down for a doctors appt. and he is going to swing down a visit and I think I’ll give him his fathers day gift then.

I figure that the no work thing isn’t going to hit me until either later this week or next week sometime. I don’t know, so I suppose we’ll see.

ok, last day today. i’m a little nervous. i just hope that i don’t say anything that i will regret later. the gods know i’m not very good at filtering my thoughts when they come spewing out of my mouth. so we’ll see.

hubby and i have been talking about taking another vacation. this time to North Dakota. to see friends and family. that could be pretty cool. but i don’t know. it would be really nice to see everyone that we went to visit 4-5 years ago. but i would most certianly have to take my knitting… if you know what i mean and i think you do.

God was missing for six days.

Eventually, Michael, the archangel, found Him, resting on the seventh day. He inquired of God, “Where have you been?” God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction, and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, “Look, Michael. Look what I’ve made.” Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said, “What is it?” “It’s a planet,”replied God, “and I’ve put Life on it. I’m going to call it Earth and it’s going to be a great place of balance.” “Balance?” inquired Michael, still confused.

God explained, pointing to different parts of earth, “For example, over there I’ve placed a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black people. Balance in all things,” God continued pointing to different countries. “This one will be extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice.”

The Archangel, impressed by God’s work, then pointed to a land area and said, “What’s that one?” “Ah,” said God, “That’s Washington State, the most glorious place on earth. There are beautiful mountains, rivers and streams, lakes, forests, hills, plains and valleys. The people from Washington State are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent and humorous, and they are going to be found traveling the world. They will be extremely sociable, hardworking, high achieving, and they will be known throughout the world as diplomats, and carriers of peace.”

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then proclaimed, “What about balance, God? You said there would be balance.” God smiled, “There is another Washington…Wait until you see the idiots I put there.”

i have to be up in less than 5 hours and i can’t fuckin’ sleep.

but on the bright side i only have 3 more days of “work”

well i gave my notice. thursday is my last day. its a little bittersweet. on one hand i don’t want to be there in its current incarnation. and yet i feel as tho my connection with books will diminish. but i may read more now, so thats cool.

oooo guess what i’m doing friday? i am making pulled pork(smoked then braised), baked beans, homemade potato salad and my special cornbread. all this meal is missing is grits… well i’m off to get some sleep. hope you got some too.

decisions

Well, the worst has happened. The end of the world is at hand.
actually I have a big decision to make. What day will be my last. Do I want to be an asshole? or Do I want to be considerate and stay a bit? I am so torn.
On the other hand, I will soon have more time for golf. Yea!

This weeks been pretty good. Didn’t get much done. But that’s ok.

Now I have to go back to work tomorrow. At 9:30am!! I didn’t get up until 1:30 today, let me tell ya that felt nice. I really wish that when they change your schedule they contact you somehow. Bastards. Good thing I called in. I’ll know this week what is in store for my future there. Whatever happens there I know it will directly affect how much and what I blog about.

Well good news! I finally got off my ass and started to knit that sweater I was so excited about in January. Daniel will be so happy. It really is way to easy.

Ok I’m off to get laid! hahaha
