I’m thinking about changing the layout again. But I don’t know if I want to do the searching or just make my own html. We’ll see.
Do you know what I did yesterday?!?! I moved the microwave that hasn’t left its spot for 8-9 years. Its such a pain in the ass it takes two people to get it out of the wall cupboard. So once I moved/cleaned it I decided that I kinda liked the space it created so I shoved it next to the refrigerator and moved the booze in the vacated space. I actually really like it. Then because I was doing that I started to clean drawers and other cupboards first was the “Tupperware” drawer and corresponding lids. You will be so proud of me… I threw away any lids that didn’t have a container. It sounds weird but it was a little scary. For anyone who saves anything (i.e. hoarder, junk bug) for the “just in case” or “you never know when you’re gonna need it” moment, this has been a big goddamn deal. And I didn’t even pull it out of the garbage to double check. Granted I went through it with a fine tooth comb (4X) before I got to the bin stage. But I did it! Then of course by doing that 7 other cupboards got a thorough going over. And now there is only 2 left !
Oh its been decided, with my minimum input, or maybe I should say I’ve been nominated to hold thanksgiving at my house this year. But if you know me then you know I’m not terribly disappointed either. And we pretty much have it planned out. Which is weird but exciting too. So it turns out that all this mad crazy cleaning is for a good reason.
But the refrigerator and oven still needs a good scrubbin. Hopefully I’ll get to that today. Fingers crossed

Ooooooo I had a party! Let me tell you. It was wonderful. I really live to entertain and make people happy. We had about 34 people over. 9 of them under 10. Friends and all of the family from both sides were there. So much food. Then once it got dark we started a fire and roasted marshmallows. Imagine 6 small children (3-9 respectfully) running around in the dark with long sharp sticks and high on pop and candy. And nobody got hurt. We didn’t have one screaming kid. No fights. It was beautiful. We had bodies over past 1 am then made sure no important food was left out and went to bed. Didn’t wake up until after 12:30 today. I was beat. But it was so good to have everybody over. My parents came down and stayed until 10 or so and Scotts parents stayed way later than they ever have. It was ever so good. But now the trash is picked up & the house seems empty. I really need to have a hobby, other than keeping my house clean.

Well I’m keeping myself busy. Mainly cleaning house and taking care of things that I got half started when I was working. Doing laundry now…. whoopdefucking do. On the bright side I only have a few more loads to get done.
2 years ago…. I got the idea that I need to re-do my patio set. So I re-painted the table and chairs got a new umbrella and decided that we needed new cushions. So I got new sponge filler and fabric and got about 3/4 way done. Lazy girl. I finally finished sewing the covers…. cuz we now have an all new set made of teak and decided that we need to give the old one to Jeff n’ Lisa. And you can’t give something that is half assed finished. Don’t cha know.
Today I’m going to the movies with Laura. Going to see “the break up”. I don’t know if I really want to see it, but I do want to spend time with her. I want to see “lake house” with Keanu and Sandra bullock. Another day I suppose.
Well I need to get dressed. cuz in not leaving the house you don’t need to have real clothes on. For the past few days I’ve been living in my sarongs. I love ‘em.
o-tay…

I’m gettin’ kinda of anxious. I just wish I knew what was going on at work. Then my future could be a little more certain.
“should I stay or should I go now
if I stay there will be trouble
if I go it will be double
So come on and let me know
should I stay or should I go.”
Well we picked up that air conditioner in Oregon. As as per his usual H is procrastinating. But he did go to home depot to pick up the fiddly bits. And we may not have to buy a new one for the living room. It was brought to his attention by a good friend that the coils(?) need to be cleaned. Because it is good when it works, we just may have it serviced. Cool eh?
Well I have to get in the shower cuz I have to go to work today. Bummer.

I wonder what I’m gonna talk about once I stop the retail thing. It looks like before too long that’s what’s it’s gonna be. yeap. At least I’m gonna have time to work on my house… SO WE CAN SELL IT!
Today was weird. It started out with this heat. Hot, sweltering & muggy more than 80 degrees. Yuck. Then the clouds started to roll in. Thunder (whoo), lightening(hoo), 75 MPH bursts of wind (whoopeee). So weird. And it’s still raining off and on. There are hail warnings for the night. I don’t think we’ll see any tho.
Have you noticed the absurdity of the commercials lately? There is a “shorts” commercial for k-mart that makes me giggle everything I see it.
Ok I’m falling asleep. G’night!

My oh my. It’s been so very busy.
I found a new artist! Her name is Abigail Washburn . AMAZING. kinda bluegrassy but really modern at the same time. When I was first listening to her, I was reading a book and about 3/4 into the CD something caught my ear. She was singing in, I think, Chinese. Absolutely the coolest thing I’ve heard in a long time. Be sure to check her out!
ooo my hubby found somethings.

We have both been doing the surveys, not only are they easy but now i am actually bringing in more through this than at my job!! and i just signed up for the car thing, boy i can’t wait! When this gets going and the cash starts pouring in more, we’re gonna move! I’ve been lookin’ over at the coast, le sigh. Found a few promising places too. We’re a little undecided as to which state. But within a mile of the OCEAN is concrete. Rock solid baby, yea.
oh I bought a lotto ticket. bunk. But you can’t win, yadda yadda yadda…. Has anybody seen the Aristocrats? Its a “documentary” by Penn Jillette, of Penn & Teller fame, about this 1 joke “the dirtiest joke around” its so amazing. If your squeamish or easily disgusted don’t watch. But if you do, don’t let your kids watch it. It’s so damn funny. OH one more thing…. Christopher Moore, author of The Stupidest Angel, Lamb, and Fluke has a new book out “A Dirty Job” and I’ve got the ARC!!! I love my job.
ok my A.D.D rant is over. WHO LOVES YA BABY?!

I feel a million times better! Most, and I use that word lightly, of the shit that has been accumulating the past week or so has crested. My friends are relatively safe, sound and home.
I go in for a dentist appt. On Thursday. I am a bad, bad girl and have too many cavities. So they are gonna get filled. ew. And then I get to go to work. With a numb face. Its gonna suck. But things are getting done. So I’m happy.
The tree is down. The front yard looks really really weird. But I knew the tree was rotten but oh my goodness was it. At the base less then 4 inches from the outside was alive the rest was just pulp. I am a little pissed because he ran over one of my small wild rose bushes. And crushed the large one that I have been pruning ever since we moved into the house (7 or 8yrs) and I finally got the thing into a decent shape. So I guess I get to start over. Oh well.
Ok the bed is calling me and Lewis Black isn’t as funny now as when I started this post.
